Initiatives & Partners
Peace & Justice Initiatives: PJI is a movement dedicated to helping educate, equip, and inspire people, churches, organizations, and more, to live in the world justly, compassionately, and to effect change through peaceful means. Through programs, consultation, resources, public speaking, mentoring, and more, PJI works to make the world more just and peaceful for everyone.
Wisahkotewinowak: Wisahkotewinowak is an urban Indigenous garden collective building Land-based relationships across the Grand River Territory. We are a group of Indigenous (First Nation and Métis) Peoples and settler-allies who also wear many hats as gardeners, researchers/academics, teachers/educators, students and life-long learners.
White Owl Native Ancestry Association: White Owl Native Ancestry Association is an urban Indigenous community-based agency dedicated to culturally safe, wholistic practices and education, supporting well-being across generations. Through adaptive Land-based approaches, they are fostering a place of healing and belonging in Waterloo Region.
Living Positive Kenya: Global Youth Volunteer Network (GYVN) has been a partner of Living Positive Kenya (LPK) since before they were officially founded in 2007. GYVN teams and interns have supported LPK in such important and powerful ways, from building strong relationships with the women to assisting with building at the daycare. Our relationship with LPK has led to many mutually beneficial outcomes, including the sponsorship of almost 100 children from the LPK community.
